The first of its kind, Skin Boosters are a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment. At INJCT Skin Clinic, we use 2 different skin boosters, Profhilo & Juvederm VOLITE.
One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo® not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity.
The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages. Profhilo treatment requires x2 doses 4 weeks apart and lasts up to 6 months. Following this it can be used as a booster every 3-6 months.
Volite is an innovative injectable treatment designed to improve skin quality for up to 9 months. This is not a dermal filler, it’s a skin conditioning Hyaluronic acid (HA) gel. Volite is injected into the middle layers of the dermis across many sites to nourish it from the inside out. Volite is suitable for all ages and skin types. Volite hydrates, smooths and increases elasticity of the skin.
Volite requires x1 treatment and last 6-9 months.

∙ Increases elasticity because HA also stimulates collagen production
∙ Smooths the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines.
Face
Skin boosters can be used to improve the texture and hydration of the skin on the face, including the cheeks, forehead, and under-eye area.Neck: Skin boosters can be used to smooth and hydrate the skin on the neck, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin.
Chest
Skin boosters can be used to improve the appearance of the skin on the chest, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improving overall skin texture.
Hands
Skin boosters can be used to improve the hydration and plumpness of the skin on the hands, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and veins.
Scars
Skin boosters can be used to improve the appearance of scars, reducing their size and making them less noticeable.
∙ Avoid the use of alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.
∙ Ensure that you let your Medical Practitioner know of any medications that you are taking, but especially if you have recently taken Warfarin, aspirin or any other anti-coagulant medication.
∙ Please ensure medical history/allergies are declared, withholding this information could put your safety at risk
∙ We do not recommend treatment if you are on a course of antibiotics
∙ We cannot treat patients who have taken the medication Roaccutane within the last 6 months.
∙ Any small raised areas at the injection site will disappear within 1-2 hours following treatment. Sometimes, they can last longer (PROFHILO) but will settle by day 2
∙ Bruising, redness and tenderness to the injection site is common and will resolve in several days.
∙ Avoid alcohol consumption for 24 hours.
∙ Avoid exercise for 48 hours following treatment.
∙ Avoid applying makeup to the area for 12 hours.
∙ Avoid extreme sun exposure, UV light, freezing temperatures and saunas for 2 weeks.
